Company negligence

If a company is negligent and staff get injured as a result, then they can put in work accident injury claims. This is something that everyone is entitled to do and if you have injuries that are not your fault, then you could get quite a bit of money, depending on the severity and type of injury. You can even find a lawyer that will not charge you if you do not win the case.

It is a good idea, if you are working for a company that does not seem to be properly looking after its staff, that you try to do something about it. It is a shame that they are not doing it, but it is not nice to be injured or for people you work with to be injured. People might also start to leave the company if they think that they are at risk of injury. Working together as a team, you could all look after each other better and it would improve your relationship as well make it a safer environment for everyone who is working there.

A personal injury claim could give you lots of money. However, it is a really nasty way to get money because you are in pain and possibly immobile and you may be left with permanent injuries. Not all claims pay out either, you may know the injury was not your fault but that does not mean that the judge will see it that way. You could get injured and then get nothing.

It is far better to be very careful in your workplace or to choose to work somewhere else than to risk an injury. Anyone who has suffered from one will tell you that the compensation cannot make up for the pain, suffering and inconvenience.
